This masive set of 624 stamps was produced by the Sun Oil Company and was the largest football issue to date. Each week during the promotion a different nine-stamp booklet was made available with the purchase of gasoline. A saver album was also availble that included several pages of perforated stamps.

Four previously unreleased Cowboys stamps were available only in complete sheet form. These players replaced Andrie, Clark, Thomas, and Widby on the 24 stamp team sheet. There is no designated place in the saver album for these four players.
The Sunoco stamp album contains several pages of perforated stamps and a two page layout for each team.
