1972 Topps

The 1972 Topps set is massive, adding nearly 100 cards from the previous three Topps sets. This set was produced in three series, with the third (264-351) being the most difficult to find. Topps expanded the set adding cards like NFL Leaders, Pro Action, and playoff highlights. Coming off the Cowboys first Super Bowl Championship, the set is loaded with great cards.

There are three basic designs to the card backs in this set. The standard player card has statistics, a fact about the player with a cartoon illustration, per season stat lines, and a brief biography. The Pro Action cards have a "Test Your Football I.Q." quiz on the backs. The third design is on the backs of the playoff game cards. There you will find a box score and complete scoring summary of the game.
