Tony Dorsett, RB from the University of Pittsburgh, won the Heisman Trophy in 1976, and was the Cowboys #1 pick (2nd Pick overall) in the 1977 NFL Draft. Dorsett made an immediate impact for the Dallas Cowboys during his rookie season by rushing for 1,007 yards and helped lead the team to a Super Bowl victory over the Broncos in Super Bowl XII. He played in two Super Bowls, five NFC championship games, and four Pro Bowls. He led the NFC in rushing in 1981 and was 2nd to only Walter Payton in rushing with 12,739 yards when he retired in 1989. Tony Dorsett's 99 Yard TD run against the Minnesota Vikings in 1983 is still a record today and it can never be broken, only tied! Tony Dorsett was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994.
